Amerifilm Casting - Open Call

Amerifilm Casting will have a UNION and NON-UNION OPEN CALL for the purpose of registering for Background work on the upcoming feature film HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE, starring Kristen Dunst, Simon Pegg, It’s coming to NYC to shoot from August 8-15th. We will be seeking a variety of types, but mostly focusing on models and the hip, trendy, nightlife young and beautiful. The film shoots all nights.

Friday, August 3rd, at 440 Studios (the old Musical Theater Works), 440 Lafayette, just south of 8th Street/Astor Place, across from the Public Theater, room 4C. 6 train to Astor Place or R/W to 8th Street. This space is architecturally accessible.

SAG TALENTS: 12PM-1:30PM
NON-UNION TALENTS: 1:30PM-2:45PM

Saturday, August 4th, at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, in the La Thea Theater, 107 Suffolk Street, at Rivington in the Lower East Side, 2nd floor Stage. This is an old school a block north of Delancey, and east of Essex (Avenue A).
F/V to 2nd Avenue, F/J/M to Delancey/Essex, B/D to Grand. This space does not have an elevator, if anyone comes who can not go up one flight of stairs, alert us at the door and someone will come out to take your picture.

SAG TALENTS: 12PM-2PM
NON-UNION TALENTS: 2PM-3:45PM

Bring updated picture and resume, and a pen to fill out our new questionnaire. We may also be photographing you.

We are especially seeking interested model types to work a 2 night shoot at a party scene on the roof of the Soho House.

In the probable event that we will be handling the BG for the upcoming SEX AND THE CITY movie, these pictures will also be used for that, as that would start a month later and need similar types.

i went to the open call on saturday, and they said they would use me for the shoot, but when i call their hotline it never connects. do you know if there's another number i can call? thanks!

thanks! it looks like i missed out since the number on the site was wrong this whole time... how did you know their real number? did they give it to you at open call or something?

They have different numbers. The number that I got was provided by one of the booking staff at the office. There are other numbers for different shows.

I've never attended an open call with Amerifilm. I actually worked on a commercial several years ago, that was booked by Amerifilm.
I get calls from them once in a while when they need Asian talents for either backgrounds or principle parts.

Instead of contacting them regarding future casting - it'd be better to wait for them to contact you. (Unless at the open call,, they asked you to call them on regular basis)
