Interesting in doing Background/Extra work in Movies?

The other day, I was reading the bio of a friend on Liar's Pendulum website.

It reads: "Jun made his acting debut not as a background extra in a toothpaste commercial, but as a principal in a music video directed by none other than David LaChapelle..."

WELL! I auditioned for that Music Video and didn't get the part!! Wahhh.

Anyway, if you look at the video above, around 1:11, you will see three Asian businessmen sitting. My friend, Jun, is the one in the middle.

And who knew? He's a great dancer!!

Okay, back to me. I actually made my acting debut as an Extra, for a featured film, many many many light years ago...
It was definately a learning experience for me. As well as networking. I have met a lot of great people on the set... Exchange infos... and from that, I landed my first agent through referral.... and pretty much branched from there.

So, if you're in New York, and Asian, and interested in trying out Background/Extra work, check this out:
